I aim to inspire viewers with artwork that shows my passion for the creative process and sensibility toward my materials and painting. I set out to create images that are transformative and transcendent of everyday observable reality. In other words, I attempt to “lift the veil” and provide insight into the subtle beauty of life through abstraction. My process involves an ambitious devotional exercise of play. I follow my intuition in a sustained pursuit of uncovering new ways of seeing things around me. While pushing myself to attain the highest quality of work, I continue my growth as an artist and a person. 

My process involves finding inspiration in the work of other artists and art, historical and contemporary, drawing upon imagery that compels and resonates with me, then crafting a painting and seeking a conclusion. This process is exciting, terrifying, and painful, but despite the challenges I find immense joy in the journey, beginning each new painting using tools and techniques developed in the previous work.
