Marco Passalacqua is based in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Pratt Institute with a degree in Fine Arts in 2024. In suburban New Jersey, he first studied traditional oil painting, working from observation and developing techniques used in portraiture. In his current practice, he collages various types of paper prepared with acrylic paint. He paints over the collages as needed and repeats the process until a finished image is achieved. He often draws inspiration for his compositions from literary and historical references, painting in an abstract-representative style.
